AMEDIA JOINS ALLIANCE OF LEADING TELECOMMUNICATIONS COMPANIES Becomes Newest Member of MoCA™ - an Organization that Promotes New Technology for In-home Digital Entertainment Distribution EATONTOWN, N.J. — June 1, 2006 – Amedia Networks, Inc. (OTCBB:AANI), a provider of home gateways and switched Ethernet ultra-broadband solutions, today announced that it has joined the Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA,) an organization dedicated to development and promotion of specifications for the transport of digital entertainment and information content over in-home coaxial cable. MoCA counts among its members many of the leading service providers, equipment vendors and silicon vendors in the industry, as can be seen on the MoCA website at www.mocallinace.org. Amedia joins these other leaders who view MoCA technology as offering, in many situations, an ideal solution for the distribution of digital video, voice, and data over the existing coaxial cables within homes. “We have announced a MoCA interface on the HG-V100, our Home Gateway with 100 Mbps of throughput and which is among the industry’s leading Gateways in terms of reliability, versatility, and performance,” said Frank Galuppo, President and CEO of Amedia. “The option of a MoCA interface provides our Gateway with a very effective in-home distribution solution for many of our customers.” “MoCA welcomes Amedia Networks, and appreciates their membership. Their product line of Gateways and other broadband equipment, combined with their commitment to MoCA enabled products, furthers the MoCA ecosystem and MoCA as the defacto method for home networking entertainment over coax.” said Ladd Wardani, MoCA President. Amedia’s Gateways and other products can be seen at Booth 53085 at Globalcomm2006, one of the industry’s leading tradeshow events taking place from June 5, 2006 through June 7, 2006 at the McCormick Place in Chicago, Il.
