MoCA® Promotes Rob Gelphman to VP Of Marketing and Member Relations
August 21, 2012, San Ramon and San Jose, CA — The Multimedia over Coax Alliance has promoted Rob Gelphman to the newly created position of Vice President of Marketing and Member Relations. Rob was previously chair of the marketing work group, a position he held for the last seven years.
Rob will continue to report to Charles Cerino president of the Alliance and the entire board of directors.
"Rob has been indispensable in driving adoption of the technology and positioning MoCA within the connected home,” said Charles Cerino, president of MoCA. “He has successfully led the Alliance into the world markets where he is actively engaged in promoting the technology.“
In this new position, Rob will continue his role in developing marketing strategy and positioning worldwide while also helping to forge liaisons with other Alliances and associations and partners essential to the growth of the Alliance. He will also be responsible for internally directed communications and other programs targeting current members, as well as campaigns that drive membership growth. In his new role, Rob will also be more involved in helping to determine and evaluate organizational strategies that affect finance and operations as the Alliance evolves.
MoCA is the worldwide standard for home entertainment networking and is the only such standard in use by all three pay TV segments—cable, satellite and IPTV/telco. MoCA technology is also used as an in-home backbone to extend Wi-Fi® connectivity.
The Alliance has certified more than 112 certified products and has 55 members worldwide representing the home entertainment networking value chain including service providers, OEMs, middleware developers, consumer electronics companies and chip vendors.
